Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdebase

Not sure when this changed, but in the last couple of weeks since I last
logged into one of my websites via ftp (using a link in Network
Folders), the long-ish login name has been truncated. I originally
thought this was just for display, but after getting login errors at the
ftp server, i opened the entry in Kate, and say the login was shortened
as shown below.

from
*******_********
to
******...******
I have deleted the entry in Dolphin, and attempted to recreate it, but whether I save the entry or not, it always truncates the login name. And I am unable to save the entry from Kate as it is not possible to write to /remote.

I don't know if it is relevant, but this also ends up trying to open in
Konqueror, at least for the error message. All my other network folder
entries work as expected.

** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
