I've been having this exact problem since I switched to Edgy. When
building the collection (~27GB) amarokcollectionscanner crashes at about
60%. It takes much longer also... about 20 minutes to get to 100%.
Although it reaches 100% it never actually finishes. Durring this time
CPU usage is ~100% all the time and the computer is pretty much
unusable. I've tried using both SQLite and MySQL with the same results.
After letting it sit at 100% for about 20 more minutes, i cancel the
collection process... nothing in the database.

I'm using the same location for my files as I did with Dapper and
Amarok. On Dapper it took about 5 minutes to build the collection.
