[Bug 45863] Problem with kmilo on Asus Laptop

I have Asus laptop w5a00
Kubuntu 6.06 (updated always)
and very oftten I get message in the middle of the screen:
Display changed: lcd on
or 
Diplay changed: lcd off
(Like the messages about sound up/down, brightness up/down)

I have searched internet, and found that others have this problem too on
Asus laptops, and solution is to disable kmilo, but then other messages
are gone too (doun up/down, brightness..)

Please fix this.
