[Bug 39392] When I use Xubuntu I cannot add music into playlist in amarok or xmms

Public bug reported:

I use dapper Xubuntu on intel.  I cannot populate the playlist in xmms
or amarok from my external harddrive. It works in Rhythmbox. When I
browse the folder in thunar and right click and choose play in xmms it
works.
