Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: adept

Using Dapper Kubuntu release 6.06 for amd64 installed from DVD I cannot
get Adept (in Kubuntu) to show some packages that exist in apt-cache
search so I keep having to install them with sudo apt-get install foo .
. . . I am choosing the Add Remove programs from the menu.

For example,
nvidia-glx
linux-image-2.6.15-25-am64-k8
nvu
and other packages wont show up when I search for them. Sometimes a category will show up but no packages will be listed. For example nvu in the Search field shows a Development Category on the left hand side but no package shows up. (I dont remember if it did this before I installed it manually with apt-get.)

I do NOT have universe enabled in my sources but I have the checkboxes
for Show Unsupported and proprietary checked and Any Suite next to the
search field.

Also, there is no way to manage apt sources from within any of the menus
in Adept. Should there be?

** Affects: ept (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Untriaged
         Status: Unconfirmed
