Ok, thanks for responding. It's been some time since I filed this
bugreport, and in the meanwhile it might have been fixed (or not) in
Dapper with a newer version of xine, but I can't test it either because
I'm using Ubuntu 6.04 now, without KDE. Should this bug be closed then?

But Hermann, you are from Germany. I thought we didn't have software
patents in the European Union yet? How can it be illegal then?
