[Bug 27314] Kubuntu Dapper Flight 2 - KDE doesn't pick up keyboard layout selected at installation

I can have experienced some thing similar to this with Kubuntu Dapper
Flight 2 i386. I selected English as a language and German as keyboard
layout. But in xorg.config xkb layout is "us" not "de".

Login failed on me because of that, ... so that's not very good.
