It's the same root cause, which is that you don't install a .desktop
file.

But that makes me think . . . can't you install a .desktop file which
makes knode appear in the Internet menu for people running Ubuntu (since
they've gone out of their way to install knode), but does not appear for
people running Kubuntu (since they're supposed to be using kontact)?
