Shouldn't it be a question of recompiling a current snapshot of PyKDE against python2.4 / kde 3.4? It would be really cool   
if kubuntu would support pykde apps more or less out of the box, though ...    
   
Right now I'm working with some debian packages force installed for python2.3, but that's really not the most convenient   
way since python 2.4 is default in the system and a lot of packages aren't even available for python 2.3 (python-qt3, for  
example) in ubuntu, making a dependancy hell out of it.
