I have since installed KDE 3.5 and have found that the fault has been fixed (after a second apt-get upgrade) using 
"sb_filter.py -h". This just raises the question should I close the fault as it is rectified in KDE 3.5 or should I wait 
until the fault has been corrected in kde 3.4 however I have no way of testing KDE 3.4. Any help?
