If I understood correctly this patch is for the nvme-cli user-space
utility, right?

In that case, please report a bug against the nvme-cli package:

Once this is done the package maintainers will take care of your
request.

If possible, please provide the following information to the
bug description to help the package maintainers to assess the
fix requested. A good bug report will also increase the chances
