Dear kernel specialists,
Please does somebody of you know about work around, which will enable
users, who have installed latest Ubuntu 64 Bit edition to external USB
harddisk to avoid ethernet connection lost after waking up notebook from
suspend mode to normal mode?
How can I help you to debug this problem?
I have used Virtual box latest stable version and I have installed
Ubuntu to external USB harddrive. And after installation I have rebooted
Windows 10 and I have booted from external USB harddrive. I like this
approach because in this case, Ubuntu installer do not install operating
system beside The Windows boot loader. Installer create correctly GUIT
partition and EFI bootable sector.
I know, that debugging those problems is not easy. But because many of
us are system programmers, I think, that somebody of you will tell Me
how to help you to find The cause of this issue.
Thank you very much for yours cooperation.
And by The way. I would like to express my deepest possible appreciation
to yours kernel team thanks to perfectly configured Pulseaudio and ALSA
drivers. Sound quality while working with speech synthesizers is The
best configuration which yours team have ever created. This new version
of Ubuntu is really revolutionary because of its stability and very
small sound drivers latency.
I have also found out how to avoid CPU overloading. I have decided to
use only 2 GB swap file because I have notebook with 8 GB of RAM.
Virtual memory stored in swap file do not require so much CPU cycles
when I have setup swap file by this way. And my fan do not have so much
RPM speed.
I wish you many positive developers achievements and really, thank you
very much for yours complex and in some times very exhausting developers
work. Many users do not aware how important kernel stability is and that
writing new device drivers, finding new kernel compilation configuration
to make kernel more and more stable is The most complex development work.
Do not be afraid, I will not interrupt yours professional debate any
more, I have only wanted to kindly ask for advice.
With warmest regards.
