Thanks for reviewing, and your point about the HWE option is taken. I do
think the risk of regression in these types of updates are significant.
However, note that this vast majority of these patches only impact a chip
that was just publicly announced a few days ago. So, at this point, the
risk of breaking any real production environment would be negligible. Of
course, now that it is a "thing" we shouldn't continue these types of
updates to 4.15 going forward.
