[Quantal] Kernel Freeze - Thurs Oct 4

Hi All,

This is a friendly reminder that Kernel Freeze for the Quantal Quetzal
12.10 release is Thurs Oct 4 [1].  This means we will likely upload the
last pre-frozen kernel on Tues Oct 2 in order to have enough time for
builds to complete before the freeze deadline.  If there are any kernel
patches which need to land for the Quantal 12.10 release, please send
them to the list for review as soon as possible.  After Kernel Freeze,
all patches are subject to the SRU policy [2].
