Hi Folks!
As you know, we are making drastic changes to the way we triage and
work bugs. As an ongoing process we have decided to use the number of
bugs on our "Top 50" list as a catalyst for focused Kernel Bug Days
within the team. As such, our list has reached 51 bugs [1]. After having
spoken with Andy, We have decided to hold a bug day across two days,
meaning half a day Friday and half a day Monday. This has many benefits
including allowing us to request information on the first half and
hopefully getting it back from the OR by Monday. Additionally, there
will be more bugs added on Monday during our meeting so the potential
for our list to grow over 60 is indeed possible. The listing of the tags
we are using is available on the wiki [2]. The process is also outlined
[3]. Please have a look at these and give us your feedback. This process
could and should go through several more revisions until we feel it is
stable. Your help is greatly appreciated. :) As always, anyone
interested in helping out is welcome to join in.
Thanks!
~JFo
P.S.- I will be adding the subsystem tag to each of the bugs on the list
so it will go through a change again before I am done.
