Bug with Elantech touch pad on Asus and Dell laptops

There is a serious bug with many Asus and Dell laptops but it was not
assigned to any developer.
what can I do to get the attention of canonical?
This touch pad is too sensitive which makes our laptops unusable without an
external keyboard.
