Integration request of VIA pata_via.c and sata_via.c which arealready in mainline kernel - Resend

Hello Bruce,

I am sorry to say, but as this patch looks it would not be acceptable for Hardy
inclusion. The main problem is the amount of changes. We have to be careful not
to introduce regressions which is harder the bigger changes are.
What makes things worse is the fact that this is just one big patch without any
comment on what and why the changes are. At least the patch should be broken up
into parts that relate to upstream changes. One thing completely unclear for
example is why there are those two lines commented out in libata-core. This
clearly could have an effect on other controllers.

So to have a chance for inclusion this would require
- a set of patches broken up (better modified but with the same description)
   patches from upstream
- avoid any change of common drivers/libraries

Kind Regards,
Stefan
