I don't think that it is likely due to the kernel freeze. I am hopping that
maybe shortly after the release, we can at least get a working lppa for it.
Maybe Chuck Short would be willing to host it?

Upstream support in Linux is coming along pretty well. It was just bad
timing that this bug cropped up for the hardy release. I still wonder if
there is a chance for fixes to get in for 8.04.1 (Idea: take the latest
xennet driver code and port it to the hardy kernel)?

Going forward, Hardy+1 should be able to take advantage of the work Red Hat
has been doing getting support into mainline.

I hope that as the kernel team gets some time they can give us there
opinions on these topics. There seem to be many that would like to help.

Hardy is a big step forward, it was just a difficult release period to
support Xen, even Fedora 9 didn't release a dom0 kernel. Xen from source
should work well for most people that need current Xen support. Going
forward the future looks brighter for Xen support within the distros.

Best Regards,
Todd
