exmap module

Hello
would a module such as exmap be totally inappropriate for inclusion in
the ubuntu kernel?
It is not in upstream but would make packaging of exmap itself a lot
easier. If not, can you point me to a good package which provides (also)
kernel modules and which does not require the user to have the sources
or kernel headers installed in order to use it.
I'd like to have this tool easily apt-gettable by anyone so users can
test their apps' memory usage and provide feedback (as they do with
bootchart), and so that devels don't have an excuse for not knowing
about the memory requirements of their apps :)
I attach the module source since it seems very lean and uninstrusive.
thanks
Jani
