Public bug reported:
There is a bug in ubuntu-bug.
Ubuntu on my laptop is dead. I installed the kernel updates on my
laptop while using the battery and connected to my router wirelessly,
the battery is good. After maybe 15 minutes I connected the laptop to
the outlet. The updates downloaded fine and were being installed, I
let my laptop alone and when I left it was still installing the same
package,I believe there is a message saying the kernel updates could
potentially take a long time. I left my laptop running installing the
updates and came back home about 5-6 hours later. When I checked my
laptop it had a black screen and could only see a mouse cursor and was
frozen. I manually shut it down but I now every time I boot up my
laptop I can go into GUI mode where I can see my screen name and mouse
cursor but my laptop is frozen. All the other kernels do the same
thing. I have tried safe mode which freezes as well but spits out error
messages that I will post below.
This is my machine:
Dell Latitude D610
Model #: pp11L
I edited my "fstab", I am using 2 partitions and a swap partition, "/" and "/home", "/home" is encrypted.
After attempting to boot up into safe mode, here are the error messages:

Since my laptop is not working I was unable to run ubuntu-bug on my
desktop to file a bug report. Ubuntu-bug insists on grabbing a snapshot
on the system it is running on, which is working just fine, the bug is
in the laptop that is frozen. I guess this feature is not implemented
or maybe just not well documented?
