Hi Jeremy,
Needless to say that apport-collect is not available at this step of the
boot process, just busybo ash.
I have tried the daily build and essentially I get to the same result,
failure at the step "Load installer component from CD" which may seem to
indicate that instead of using the USB flash which it started from it then
switches to
an (absent) CD. The messsage wording is different but this is essentially
the same phenomenom happening at the same step of the boot (although this is
an assumption because the output is less verbose and I do not know if the
previous step
was a successful HD detection like with the official release).
I tried the upstarem kernel (if I understand correctly the FAQ),
maverick-desktop-i386-fwts.iso<http://kernel.ubuntu.com/%7Ekernel-ppa/testing/maverick-desktop-i386-fwts.iso>
.
Same result with a slightly different message from busybox (or initramfs
actually ?) " Unable to find a medium containing a live file system".
Hope this helps.
