I've had some success with Ubuntu Maverick Merrkat 10.10 Alpha 3 but I
want to do some more testing between Lucid and Maverick to get a good
comparison.

Fortunately, OpenWRT wouldn't show me an easy way to make the non-
broadcasting SSID (I think it's hidden but available deep in the command
line interface).  Using the original firmware, I've got a test WAP built
easily.
