HP Presario v5000 - v5245eu - happens here too

It seems to happen more when the machine is stressed, but is still
present when the machine is under light load. I've also noticed that
often just as it's about to happen I lose the preceding character, and
sometimes the cursor position will shift to a different line.

Very irritating and is the only reason that I cannot recommend the
current Ubuntu to clients and friends. A pity because 10.04 is the first
Ubuntu that I can actually actually hand on heart say is a desktop that
non techs can use easily.
