This bug is still present in Hardy. I upgraded from 7.04, and when I
booted today, I got this message:
resume: libcrypt version 1.2.4
resume: Could not stat the resume device file '/dev/mapper/cswap'

or press ENTER to boot the system:
When I boot, however, I have my full compliment of swap memory.
Running update-initramfs -u -k all give me:
