[Bug 159960] Unable to open rtc device

I suspect this to be the cause of VMware then spamming the event logs
unless the option "host.useFastClock" is set to false in
/etc/vmware/config

The messages when this option is enabled are...

rtc: lost some interrupts at 512H

and happen several thousand times a minute.
