I can't print in ubuntu dapper updated to 2006-5-30 with kernel
2.6.15-23-k7
dmesg shows:
...
[4294899.984000] ppdev: user-space parallel port driver
[4294916.502000] ppdev0: registered pardevice
[4294916.516000] ppdev0: negotiated back to compatibility mode because user-space forgot
[4294916.516000] ppdev0: unregistered pardevice
I have tried configuring the parallel port from BIOS as Standard, EPP,
ECP, SPP and ECP+EPP with no success.
Is there a workaround?
