Paul,

The Cap lock is never on. No form of input can be done to the system. I
have to physically hit the reset button to get out of it. Below is my
system configuration and the description of both mouse connections:

AMD 2800+ CPU
MSI K7N2 Delta2 motherboard
1 gig ram
1 80 gig Seagate HD formated NTFS and with Windows XP on it
1 120 gig Seagate HD with Kubuntu 6.06 and all current updates on it.
Microsoft Natural Multimedia Keyboard 1.0A
Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0 by itself at times(hooked up via USB or
PS2 adapter same issue)
Micro Innovations "wired" PS2 mouse by itself at times(to verify the issue)
ATI 7000 AGP graphics card
Sound Blaster Live 5.1 audio card
USR Dial-up modem(for backup to DSL)
KDS monitor

All unnecessary services are shut off on the machine as it's NOT a server.
Again, the Microsoft Wireless Mouse 2.0 was connected via USB and then to
see if it would clear the issue I hooked it up via the PS2 adapter that came
with the mouse. Even today, I've had a few lockups and I'm currently
running the WIRED PS2 mouse. The lockups have occurred in Konqueror,
Frostwire, Open Office, and even Adept. I'm a CompTIA A+ tech and I don't
understand it so I submitted the bug because I happen to like the operation
system. It's been the best distribution of Linux I've tried.

Next up is dual booting my Compaq Presario R4125US laptop with Kubuntu. If
it configures with wireless Internet simpler than the other distros I've
tried, it will become the only operating system on my laptop.

Sincerely,
Terry L. Parris
