[Bug 34508] Re: 2.6.15 kernel fails to boot on ppc machine

It's obviously a risk to start 'dicking around' with the kernel a few
days before a release, but I agree with previous poster - this bug could
seriously affect quite a large number of machines.

The 'one liner' patch proposed has yet to be confirmed as a solution.
Unfortunately I can't build a test kernel to prove whether it works or
fails.

Can someone please (pretty please with sugar icing) build a kernel and
post a link to it so that 'we' can get confirmation that this fixes
it.....

To the maintainers: Is this bug worth flagging as release critical?
