Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.15-23-386

I tried to install breezy on my AMD2.6ghz AthlonXP and the kernel freezes when it tries to mount the root filesystem.
The installation via Dapper CD freezed directly after selecting the "Install to Harddisk" Option when the kernel starts to decompress.
So I installed kubuntu Breezy with kernel 2.6.12 (which works).
After upgrading the running system to dapper, the system freezes again on boot time when it tries to mount the filesystem.
I had Debian/Sid on the system before and had no problem with this kernel release. So I guess it's related to ubuntu patches.

** Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed
