Inspiron 6400 laptop
BIOS: A03
Kernel: 2.6.15-23-686
Some people have suggested changing HWCLOCKPARS="--directisa" in
/etc/init.d/hwclock.sh.
I made this change last night, and restarted once or twice since then,
including a boot into Windows XP.
This afternoon, the 'Time-of-day clock stopped' failure occurred again
after I changed a BIOS setting.
Whatever --directisa does, it is not a complete fix for the problem.
