[Bug 4215] Functionality is not present in my Windows...

I have a creaky old Windows 98 partition that actually does suspend to
RAM. I decided to do a bit of testing after your comment and with VGA
graphics drivers the suspend to RAM on 98 actually worked well and
continued to play audible sound across a suspend (which flashed the
power light so I'm pretty certain it wasn't a fake suspend) from both
Windows Media Player 6.4 and Winamp 5 (when the output was set to both
Directsound and Waveout).

Unfortunately dapper is unable to achieve the same when using
/etc/acpi/sleep.sh force
- sound needed to be stopped and restarted before sound was audible.

Obviously this is anecdoctal (e.g. perhaps the BIOS sets ACPI up
different for 9x to Linux) but it seems to hint that playing sound
across a suspend should be possible...
