Comment:
I confirm that the latest kernel updates ( 17 & 18) broke it again.

When I burn a data CD, it starts writing to the CD, but after a minute or so, the progress bar (Nautilus CD burner) stops (no error message or anything, it just stops). No kernel message to be seen, until I ask Nautilus to cancel the writing, and then I get that dreaded " >>>>>>>> Dump Card State Begins>>>>" stuff.
I tried twice, and the second time, although it stopped again, I tried reading that supposedly "half-backed" CD, and to my surprise, Nautilus could read it back just fine, and all the data were present ! Strange. So maybe writing the data does work, and it only stops when it's about to "fixate" the CD ?

Other strange thing I noticed is that whenever I ask Nautilus to eject a CD be it a blank CD or a data CD), it pops up a weird dialog aong the lines of "Storing infirmation about the CD-RW CD, please wait and don't eject the CD until that's done". I can't make any sense of this dialog :-/
All I know is that closing the dialog and ejecting the Cd by hand, doesn't seem to have any ill effects. Really strange and unexpected dialog indeed...
