[Bug 30153] IBM X31 freeze under X, shortly after boot

Comment:
another freeze with 686 + smp-alt-disable (testing the reproducibility
of the bug). freeze happened  ~ 30min after boot. data corruption too.

rebooted with 386 kernel, fsck cleared a bunch of inodes (zero dtime and
duplicated blocks), and machine is stable.
