I've made some fixes to the ATI stable driver in X.org CVS, I think fabbione was updating the dapper driver from this previously.

When fabbione can upload a latest version of that driver to dapper, I think it should fix this issue, my laptop suspend/resumes fine with glxgears running and it is PCIE.

This isn't a kernel problem it was an X issue.
