Public bug reported:

Affects: linux-source-2.6.15 linux-image-2.6.15-19-686 (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
Up-to-date Dapper installation (2006-Apr-02).

In my testing server I have 2 network interfaces. Intel EtherExpress Pro
100 that I use to connect to internet and is working properly. The
second one is Marvell Gigabit Ethernet Controller (88E8053) integrated
onboard (motherboard is Asus P5GD1Pro) which I'm using to connect to my
home network. I have setup NAT to allow computers in my home network to
access internet. I also setup sharing some folders
(/var/cache/apt/archives/) on server for computers in home network
(samba, nfs, ssh).

Computers from home network can access internet, can browse web, use
mail and while this uses small bandwitch (~2 Mbps) everything works
fine. They can also download small files from shares. But when they try
to download files in total 100+ MiB from shares (in higher speed - 100
Mbps) the Marvell ethernet interface stops working. Computers from
network cannot ping this interface (even after restart of these
computers) and cannot go through NAT. Server is able to ping this
interface but cannot ping computers on home network. After "ifdown eth1;
ifup eth1" is everything OK (for a time). Thats why I cannot download
big or many files from shares on server and it does not mather if it is
samba, nfs or ssh share. While accessing internet from home network
through NAT interface broke only once (download of 180 MiB iso image
with download manager).

I made a watchdog which is looking if is network accessible and if not
it make ifdown and ifup. But this is not solution.

In Breezy worked everything fine.
