Public bug reported:

Affects: linux-meta linux-image-2.6-powerpc (Ubuntu)
       Severity: Normal
       Priority: (none set)
         Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
I have an ibook G4 and suspend/resume works fine.

In breezy: Sounds is muted after resume. Push a volume key and it comes
back to normal.

Regressed in dapper: Sound is muted after resume. Push a volume key and
it comes back, but any sound playback stutters. Gaim sounds _almost_
like normal but if you try to play music it sounds horrible.

The only thing I've seen in the kernel log shown when suspend/resuming
is "failed to set volume" just before suspending [this is probably
related to the volume thing and not the distortion] [that error message
is probably from Linux/sound/ppc/tumbler.c, the ppc sound driver]
