Yep, sadly :o(
I have the 3 latest kernels in the GRUB menu, 2.6.12-6, 7 and 8, and all three
have this problem unfortunately...
It's getting especially annoying now that we have usplash getting ready, as I am
stuck in text mode for 20 seconds before usplash can start...
