Exactly the same problem here. Works fine with the 2.6.12 kernel in dapper and
breezy but is broken with 2.6.15-6
the sk98lin module is present but modprobe sk98lin does nothing. 
lspci in breezy gives
0000:04:00.0 Ethernet controller: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88E8050 Gigabit
Ethernet Controller (rev 17)
