Juju status infinite loop on Raring with EC2

How long have you waited after bootstrap?  Note that it can take quite
a bit for Amazon to allocate a machine and then for it to get up and
running with up-to-date software. If you can login, and see that
apt-get et all has stopped running, and there's still no way to
contact juju via status, John's suggestion will give you a hand on
knowing why.
