  Ubuntu 10.10 doesn't start after driver installation

Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I have two partitions on my notebook,one with windows 7 and one with ubuntu 10.10.
  Right 5 minutes after installation of ubuntu I clicked to activate broadcon sta wirelss and nvidia driver.
  I used an ethernet cable to activate the drivers,since a connections was required.But after I restarted the system to complete the updates if I try to load ubuntu it doesn't start the normal GNOME sessions,but it start witht he command line asking me to login.After I login it says: "your cpu appears to be lacking of security protections".
