Title:
dpkg warnings during update-grub - version number does not start with
a digit
Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Hey
I had some "vmlinuz-foo" kernels in /boot which were picked up by grub in the past; now they still get picked up, but there's a dpkg warning when update-grub runs during upgrades:
dpkg: error: mauvaise syntaxe de la version «%off%»%: version number does not start with a digit
dpkg: error: mauvaise syntaxe de la version «%on%»%: version number does not start with a digit
(the actual kernels were /boot/vmlinuz-on and -off)
It's likely the result of dpkg being stricted about accepted version
numbers, and "on" and "off" not being acceptable version numbers.
This doesn't seem to cause any issue apart of the error message,
kernels still seem to be picked up.
Cheers,
