Title:
Recent Grub2 grub-install has issues with my macboot efi dual-boot
  configuration

Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
I managed to install Ubuntu 14.04 on my MacBook exactly as i whish
thanks to improved EFI support and this guide:
  http://glandium.org/blog/?p=2830.

This enables to boot Ubuntu without reFit or similar, but requires the grub-install to work on a hfs partition. In earlier versions of GRUB2, you simply could replace some lines in the grub install script, but that is now a binary, so that fix is no longer possible:
if test "x$efi_fs" = xfat; then :; else
echo "${efidir} doesn't look like an EFI partition." 1>&2
      efidir=
  fi

While a still am able to boot, this taints my dpkg-database as
whenever a package like the kernel is updated:

Fehler traten auf beim Bearbeiten von:
   grub-efi-amd64
   grub-efi
  E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
