Title:
Cannot preseed manual partitioning mount points
Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: ubiquity
Normally, when one chooses manual partitioning, Ubiquity presents a
disk configuration based on the current configuration. However no
mount points are selected by default. We are attempting to preseed an
installation that takes advantage of Ubiquity's "preserve home"
functionality, where selecting an existing partition as root but not
opting to format it will keep the existing home directory intact.
If we could preseed the selection of a root mount point, we could
completely automate this process, allowing for reinstalls and upgrades
to be preseeded without user interaction.
We're able to preseed the entrie rest of the installer without
difficulty, but are stuck at the manual partitioning screen as it
won't proceed until a mount point is selected.
