Title:
Update causes 30 sec boot delay on EFI system, with NVMe and LVM

Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
  Opinion

Bug description:
This bug is similar to #1814403 which has been fixed but not for all
  systems.

  As mentioned in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1814403/comments/16
I have an NVMe drive with two partitions, one is an LVM partition for the root (/), which includes /boot (except for /boot/efi). The second partition has /boot/efi.
With this configuration, GRUB keeps showing the dialog no matter what, and it's always for 30 seconds.

There are two more comments in that bug report with similar problems:

  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1814403/comments/28
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1814403/comments/29

There's also a bug report for Btrfs systems, which might is not
  (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1815002), hence
  this bug report.
