Ran into this bug with the 14.04.1 x64 Server installer. Switched to a
slower USB drive after reading this thread and was able to install
without any issues.

Bug description:
  Raring virtual-host server preseeded installation failed with the
  following error with 20130206 i386 image.

  This appears to be an intermittent issue because a manual installation
  and a consecutive preseeded installation succeeded.
