[Bug 1327256] [NEW] Ubiquity window never appears

Public bug reported:

Using latest amd64 live CD if I choose try ubuntu and then launch
ubiquity I get no install window. I can see ubiquity in the process list
but it never actually appears.

I ran it under strace and got this if it's helpful:-
