It has been over 6 years since this was reported and much has changed in
that time.  Given the age and lack of a way to reproduce it on a current
release I'm closing this report.

  problem with manual partitioning and changing size of partition

Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ubiquity

  During manual partitioning problem occured which crashed all
  instalation, I wanted to make a new partition ext3... I have made
  before 2 parts for Windows.. and secondly I choose a partition for
  Linux(ext3) during making the partition the problem occured and
  blocked all the further instalation..!!
