11.04 reached end of life some time ago and is no longer supported. Can
you reproduce this on 14.04 or 14.10?

Title:
Install hangs before partitioning when dynamic disks exist on the
  system

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
When a previous install of Window 7 with standard disks converted to
dynamic (to allow creation of software raid) is left uncleaned prior
to install Ubuntu 11.04 beta 1, the installer hangs just before
  partitioning.

To fix this, I rebooted the machine and entered Windows 7 repair mode,
used DISKPART to "clean" both disks. I could then partition and
  install Ubuntu as normal.
