I did choose install ubuntu.
After I select language ENGLISH, I do not get any clear screen about selecting a keyboard layout.
after while I did noticed that there is a very small keyboard icon on top of the screen on the right side, there I could change the keyboard to something else, but what I mean is that this is not intuitive and a lot of users may miss it!
This is a really problem when you want to encrypt a disc, you may end up
entering keys that do not match you keyboard layout ...

Title:
NO Keyboard selection when on english
Status in “ubiquity” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Ubuntu 13.04 daily April 7
When starting a new ubuntu installation and set the language to English, there will be no questions about keyboard layout.
i think to have to go to an icon above to change the keyboard layout is not intuitive and should be part of the selection process instead. You could always accept the default values.
I particularly use English as the language but I'm on a computer that has a Swedish keyboard most of the time. Some times I do have to use Brazilian keyboards...
It may seems a corner case but there are several people that uses English as the default language and a NOT English keyboard!
Make it intuitive, stop to complicate things! Stop to assume!
