  Boot fails on udev if USB devices are present

Bug description:
  If a USB devices  are present (keyboard, mouse, or external drive),
  grub2 will hang on:

  udevd[134]: starting version 175

  The system will not boot.

  Hardware is a Thinkpad T520.
